EINAR MAGNÚS MAGNÚSSON

Director, editor, screenwriter and producer who is also known for his work as an underwater cinematographer for documentaries, commercials and feature films.

Einar Magnus worked at Saga-Film from 1989 to 1992. At Stöð 2 from 1992 to 1999 and at Hugsjón film and advertising production from 1998 to 2000. He worked independently as a director of television films and commercials in the years 2000 – 2004.

He worked as an underwater cinematographer on the films Contraband (2012), produced by Universal Studios and The Deep (2012) produced by Blueeyes Produktion of Filmhuset-Produktion. Both of these films were directed by Baltazar Kormák. In addition, he filmed underwater footage for a number of TV programs and educational films, including for National Geographic.

Einar Magnus has directed, produced, edited and managed the recording of numerous documentaries. In addition, he has worked as an information representative for the Transport Agency and an expert in promotion and education at the Transport Agency.
